In 2012 when I began asking for financial support/ sponsorship, I needed to display all that effort on tri suit and that suit needed a name. I first came up with Skidmore Racing but that didn't encompass all the people who have gotten me where I am today. I had to find a way to let everyone know I was part of a team. Team Skidmore was a perfect fit!!
We are a team of volunteers, friends, co-workers, community members and businesses who have deidcated many hours to helping me raise over $10,000 to race at the 2012 National Tri Championships in Burlington VT and the 2013 World Tri Championships in London England. I will be forever in debt in thank yous.
I am so greatful to have a personal coach who is just as dedicated to the sport of Triathlon as I am. Steve has shaped me into a well rounded athlete with just the right type of coaching to push me comortablly in each of the diciplines. Through his coaching I have learned so much about technique and how importatnt it is to be aware of so many different things. Every training session we complete together he somhow finds something new for me to work on and suggests it in a way that is never condensending. He keeps every workout fresh and new. We joke about hard workouts and have the same sense of humor. Steve Vosburg is one of the most caring dedicated people I know. I will never take take him for granted.
Many people are impressed with my dedication. I've missed 3 workouts in 2 years, I don't drink alcohol and won't eat sweets during the week leading up to a race. I know that when I'm training I'm getting stronger then my competitors and I know how much time and work Steve has put into creating a training plan for me. To skip a workout would be disrespectful to him. Thanks a million Steve!

I placed 5th in my age group and qualified to race in the
2013 Age Group World Triathlon Championships in London, England.
I am just as grateful to have a personal manager. Gina has helped behind the scenes and her "job" often goes unnoticed. She is always making sure all fininacials are in order, she's on me about thanking my sponsors, getting press releases out, organizing fundratising events, she orders team skidmore uniforms and shirts. She captures every race in pictures, cheers me on during the race, knows what my times should be for each dicipline.
I couldn't imagine getting through last summer or any summer without her!
